The director and the Department of General Services succeed to and are vested with all of the duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction vested in the Director of Finance, the Department of Finance, or any division, unit, or office of the Department of Finance under the following statutes:

(a) Chapter 47 of the Statutes of 1944, Fourth Extraordinary Session.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
