The chairperson of the authority on its behalf shall appoint an executive director, who shall not be a member of the authority and who shall serve at the pleasure of the authority. The executive director shall receive compensation that shall be fixed by the authority.

  • Authority: means the California Health Facilities Financing Authority created by this part or any board, body, commission, department, or officer succeeding to the principal functions thereof or to which the powers conferred upon the authority by this part shall be given by law.
