Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, a private, nonprofit corporation that conducts fairs and other events and exhibitions on land leased from the County of Los Angeles may enter into a joint powers agreement with a public agency, as defined in Section 6500, for mutually beneficial uses of the public land. The agency formed pursuant to this joint powers agreement shall be deemed a public entity as described in Section 6507.

  • public agency: includes , but is not limited to, the federal government or any federal department or agency, this state, another state or any state department or agency, a county, county board of education, county superintendent of schools, city, public corporation, public district, regional transportation commission of this state or another state, a federally recognized Indian tribe, or any joint powers authority formed pursuant to this article by any of these agencies.
