“Gift” as used in this article means a gift made directly or indirectly to any state candidate, elected state officer, or legislative official, or to an agency official of any agency required to be listed on the registration statement of the lobbying firm or the lobbyist employer of the lobbyist.

Terms Used In California Government Code 86201

  • Agency official: as used in this chapter means any official of a state agency whose administrative actions the lobbyist, lobbying firm, lobbyist employer, or person described in subdivision (b) of Section 86115 has attempted or is attempting to influence. See California Government Code 86111
  • State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
