Before acquiring any real property for a police station, the district board may submit to the voters in the district at a special election, or at the election for a commissioner, the proposition whether or not land shall be acquired and a police station built thereon; or whether or not land on which a police station, or a building suitable for a police station, has been erected shall be acquired. The approval or disapproval of the voters shall be binding upon the district board.

Terms Used In California Health and Safety Code 20073
- Board: as used in this chapter , means the board of supervisors of the county in which it is proposed to form a district, or in which a district has been formed. See California Health and Safety Code 20001
- Commissioner: as used in this chapter , means a member of the district board. See California Health and Safety Code 20003
- District: as used in this chapter , means a police protection district formed pursuant to this chapter or pursuant to any law which it supersedes. See California Health and Safety Code 20000
- District board: as used in this chapter , means the board of police commissioners of a district. See California Health and Safety Code 20002
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
