Treated metal shredder waste that is managed in accordance with the alternative management standards adopted by the department pursuant to Section 25180.82 and that is accepted by a solid waste landfill or other authorized location for disposal or for use as alternative daily cover or other beneficial use shall thereafter be deemed to be a solid waste for purposes of this chapter and § 40191 of the Public Resources Code.
