• Board: means the Board of Corrections, unless otherwise indicated. See California Penal Code 8052
• Community-based punishment: means a partnership between the state and a county or a collaboration of counties to manage and provide correctional services, especially those services considered to be intermediate sanctions at the local level of government for targeted, select offender populations pursuant to the community corrections plan of a county or a collaboration of counties. • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
• County: includes city and county. See California Health and Safety Code 14
• county: includes "city and county". See California Penal Code 7
• Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
• Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). ^{Source: OCC}
• state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the district and territories. See California Penal Code 7
