(a) The office shall encourage and support historical resource preservation through education activities, including publications and training, that further the policies set forth in Section 5079.
(b) The office may enter into contracts with public agencies, nonprofit organizations, or private entities for this purpose and may make grants to public agencies and nonprofit organizations to carry out these activities.
Terms Used In California Public Resources Code 5079.26
- Office: means the State Office of Historic Preservation. See California Public Resources Code 5079.01
- Preservation: means identification, evaluation, recordation, documentation, curation, acquisition, protection, management, rehabilitation, restoration, stabilization, maintenance, and reconstruction, or any combination of those activities. See California Public Resources Code 5079.01
