The department and other appropriate state and local agencies, and federal agencies to the extent permitted by federal law, with jurisdiction over inland waters are encouraged to cooperate with private groups and associations in order to do fish habitat and restoration work to implement the Adopt a Lake Program pursuant to § 2003.5 of the Fish and Game Code.

  • department: means the Department of Parks and Recreation and "director" means the Director of Parks and Recreation. See California Public Resources Code 5001.1
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
