Commencing with the Budget Bill for the 1993-94 fiscal year, the balances remaining in the fund and the State Coastal Conservancy Fund of 1984 may be appropriated by the Legislature for expenditure, without regard to the maximum amounts allocated to each element of the program, for any or all elements of the program specified in Sections 5096.231 and 5096.232, or any class or classes of projects within those elements, that the Legislature deems to be of the highest priority.

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Fund: means the Parklands Fund of 1984. See California Public Resources Code 5096.228
