The commissioner is authorized to contract with any person, partnership, association or corporation, desiring the use of the project authorized by § 13a-32, the Gold Star Memorial Bridge or the Old Lyme and Old Saybrook Bridge, or the appurtenances and approaches or any part of such project or bridges, for placing thereon water, steam, gas or oil pipelines, telephone, electric light or power lines, or for any other purpose, and to fix the terms, conditions and rates and charges for such use.

Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 13a-127

  • Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Transportation and includes each successor in office or authority. See Connecticut General Statutes 13a-1
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
