While the holder of a limited license issued pursuant to chapter 393 is enrolled in an unlimited license apprenticeship program, such limited license holder shall continue to be considered a journeyman or contractor for limited work performance in such area for purposes of § 20-332b and any regulation of Connecticut state agencies adopted pursuant to said section. The limited license of the registered apprentice in an unlimited category shall not be used to calculate the number of apprentices that may be hired by a contractor in accordance with § 20-332b.

  • Apprentice: means any person registered with the Labor Department for the purpose of learning a skilled trade. See Connecticut General Statutes 20-330
  • Contractor: means any person regularly offering to the general public services of such person or such person's employees in the field of electrical work, plumbing and piping work, solar work, heating, piping, cooling and sheet metal work, fire protection sprinkler systems work, elevator installation, repair and maintenance work, irrigation work, automotive glass work or flat glass work, as defined in this section.
