(a) A writ of possession may be according to the following form:

” County, ss. The State of Delaware, To the Sheriff of said County, greeting:

* * ?We command you, that without delay you cause ________________________________________________________________ to have peaceable possession of (here insert description of the premises) which were lately sold by virtue of a writ of execution issued

Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 10 Sec. 5018

  • State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
  • Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
