A peer-to-peer car sharing program and a shared vehicle owner shall be exempt from vicarious liability consistent with 49 U.S.C. § 30106 and under any state or local law that imposes liability solely based on vehicle ownership.

Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 21 Sec. 8607

  • Peer-to-peer car sharing: means the authorized use of a vehicle by an individual other than the vehicle's owner through a peer-to-peer car sharing program. See Delaware Code Title 21 Sec. 8602
  • Shared vehicle: means a vehicle that is available for sharing through a peer-to-peer car sharing program. See Delaware Code Title 21 Sec. 8602
  • State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
