(1) Any well which is an abandoned artesian well under Florida Statutes § 373.203(1), shall be plugged in accordance with this section.
(2) All abandoned wells shall be plugged as set forth in subsection 40C-3.517(8), F.A.C., unless otherwise specified by the District. The work shall be accomplished by a licensed water well contractor.
(3) Request to abandon a well shall be submitted on State of Florida Permit Application to Construct, Repair, Modify, or Abandon a Well, DEP Form 62-532.900(1), which is incorporated by reference in Fl. Admin. Code R. 40C-3.036(9)(a), unless the well is exempt from permitting under Fl. Admin. Code R. 40C-3.051
