- Department: means the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services of the state or its authorized representative. See Florida Statutes 581.011
- Director: means the director of the Division of Plant Industry. See Florida Statutes 581.011
The director shall have authority to carry out any of the powers and duties of the department as authorized in s. 581.031, or as directed by the department.
