  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
It is the express intention of this part that any pledge by the department of rates, fees, revenues, county gasoline tax funds, or other funds, as rentals, to the agency, or any covenants or agreements relative thereto, may be enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction against the agency or directly against the department by any holder of bonds issued by the agency.
