Terms Used In Florida Statutes 486.106

  • Board: means the Board of Physical Therapy Practice. See Florida Statutes 486.021
  • License: means the document of authorization granted by the board and issued by the department for a person to engage in the practice of physical therapy. See Florida Statutes 486.021
  • person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
The board shall issue a license to each applicant who successfully establishes eligibility under the terms of this chapter and remits the initial license fee set by the board, not to exceed $100. Any person who holds a license pursuant to this section may use the words “physical therapist assistant,” or the letters “P.T.A.,” in connection with her or his name to denote licensure hereunder.
