If the place of trial has been changed, the death warrant shall be delivered to the sheriff of the county in which the defendant was tried. [1984 c.3 § 6]

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 137.467

  • Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
