Terms Used In 11 Guam Code Ann. § 70128

  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
plicants for business licenses shall be required to attest to under oath, to the following:
(a) ‘I shall not fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual or otherwise to discrimination against any individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions or privileges of employment because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex or national origin’;

(b) ‘I shall not limit, segregate or classify employees in any way which would deprive or tend to deprive any individual of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect his status

as an employee, because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex or national origin’,

The oath prescribed under § 70128(a) and (b) shall be incorporated in the business license application in affidavit for subscribed and sworn to by the applicant before a notary public.
