Terms Used In 12 Guam Code Ann. § 14239

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
Notwithstanding any substantive or procedural provision of Chapter 6 of Title 5, Guam Code Ann., the Authority shall not be entitled to immunity from any suit or action in contract on the indebtedness authorized by this Article. For the purposes of this Act only, immunity is waived as to the award of attorney fees in connection with any suit brought to enforce any right or obligation given under this Act or in connection with the enforcement of the terms of any agreement or indenture that arises directly from the issuance of bonds.
