Terms Used In 18 Guam Code Ann. § 14102
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.

year and a balance sheet showing its assets and liabilities. For the limited purpose of this section, the fiscal year of a political party, an organization of more than two individuals, whose purpose is to provide funds or other assistance of value to a political candidate and any organization with the avowed purpose of advocating the improvement of the Government of Guam or the political process shall end on September 15. Such newspaper report need be no larger than four inches by five inches. Such financial statement shall contain a certificate as to its accuracy by an officer of the organization which financial statement shall be filed with the Director of Revenue & Taxation.
