Terms Used In 18 Guam Code Ann. § 7303

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(a) If the Department of Revenue and Taxation finds that an application for registration conforms to law and all requisite fees have been paid, the Department of Revenue and Taxation shall issue a certificate of registration to transact business in Guam, subject, however, to any licensing requirements imposed by the laws of Guam.

(b) A foreign limited liability company may register with the Department of Revenue and Taxation under any name, whether or not it is the name under which it is registered in its state of organization, that
includes the words Alimited liability company@ or Alimited company@ or
their abbreviations AL.L.C.@, AL.C.@, ALLC@ or ALC@, in uppercase or
lowercase letters, or if required or permitted by the jurisdiction in which it was formed the words Aprofessional limited liability company@ or the abbreviations AP.L.L.C.@, @P.L.C.@, APLLC@ or APLC@, in uppercase or
