Terms Used In 19 Guam Code Ann. § 4105

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
The father as well as the mother of an illegitimate child must give him support and education suitable to his circumstances. A civil suit to enforce such obligations may be maintained in behalf of a minor illegitimate child by his mother or guardian, and in such action the court shall have power to order and enforce perfor- mance thereof, the same as under § 8403, § 8405, and § 8406 of this Title, in a suit for divorce by a wife.
