Terms Used In 20 Guam Code Ann. § 2226

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
The detriment caused by the wrongful occupation of real property, in cases not embraced in § 2227, § 2250 and § 2276 of this Title, or 21 Guam Code Ann. § 21115, is deemed to be the value of the use of the property for the time of
such occupation, not exceeding five (5) years next preceding the commencement of the action or proceeding to enforce the right to damages, and the costs, if any, of recovering the possession.
