Terms Used In 5 Guam Code Ann. § 20414

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Any person aggrieved by any action of the Director under this Chapter in issuing a Guam certificate of registration of a print, label, trademark, service mark, or tradename or in revoking any such certificate of registration or in denying an application may, within thirty (30) days after action by the Director, or in the event no order has been entered either granting or denying the application within thirty (30) days after the filing of the application, commence proceedings to obtain judicial review thereof by the Superior Court of Guam by filing in the court a notice of appeal.
