Terms Used In 5 Guam Code Ann. § 30116

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
(a) The Attorney General shall be compensated in twenty-six (26) equal installments for an annual salary based on ninety percent (90%) of the annual compensation of a judge of the Superior Court of Guam.

(b) From the date of enactment of this Subsection (b) and until the end of Fiscal Year 2003, the Attorney General is authorized to reduce his salary down to eighty percent (80%) of the amount as computed according to Subsection (a) of this Section, for a maximum reduction of twenty percent (20%).

2017 NOTE: The compensation of the Attorney General has been amended without reference to5 Guam Code Ann. § 30116. P.L. 32-136:1 (Mar. 5,
2014) stated that the Attorney General’s salary was set at the rate in effect on October 1, 2013. P.L. 32-208:1 (Nov. 21, 2014) repealed and reenacted P.L. 32-136:1 and set the Attorney General’s salary at the rate pursuant to
the Competitive Wage Act of 2014. P.L. 34-009:1 (May 23, 2017) amended P.L. 32-208:1 and provided that “”the salary of the Attorney General of Guam shall be set to the salary rate pursuant to the Competitive Wage Act of 2014, which was transmitted and received by I Liheslaturan
Guåhan on January 15, 2014.”” None of these public laws repealed 5 Guam Code Ann.
§ 30116.
