Terms Used In 7 Guam Code Ann. § 22102

  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
It is the policy of the territory of Guam that all persons selected for jury service be selected at random from a fair cross section of the population of the Territory, and that all qualified citizens have the opportunity in accordance with this chapter to be considered for jury service on grand or petit juries, in this Territory and an obligation to serve as jurors when sum- moned for that purpose.
