- Board: means the board of land and natural resources. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 171-1
- Land: includes all interests therein and natural resources including water, minerals, and all such things connected with land, unless otherwise expressly provided. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 171-1
Any lot [sold] or leased for residential use pursuant to this part shall not be sold or transferred again by the purchaser, the purchaser’s personal representative, or the purchaser’s heirs for a period of ten years from date of disposition unless the purchaser first offers the land or lease and improvements for sale and surrender to the board in accordance with the provisions of section 171-17(c) or § 171-81, as the case may be.
