Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 327-24
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 327-2
- Tissue: means a portion of the human body other than an organ or an eye. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 327-2
There is established in the state treasury the Hawaii organ and tissue education special fund. Moneys collected under section 286-109.7 shall be deposited into the fund. The fund shall be administered and distributed by the department of health and shall be used exclusively for public education programs and activities on organ, tissue, and eye donation.
