Terms Used In Idaho Code 11-731

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The provisions of sections 11-708, 11-711, 11-716, 11-719 through 11-727, and 11-730, Idaho Code, inclusive, shall apply to all courts of competent jurisdiction.
