Terms Used In Idaho Code 39-3528

  • Certified family home: means a family-styled living environment in which two (2) or fewer adults live who are not able to reside in their own home and who require care, help in daily living, protection and security, supervision, personal assistance and encouragement toward independence.   • person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person;

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
  • Any person who operates a certified family home within the state without first obtaining certification as provided in this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
