Terms Used In Idaho Code 42-1418

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
An appeal may be taken to the supreme court from an order, partial decree, or decree of the district court in any adjudication proceeding as provided by rule or order of the supreme court.
