  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
The secretary of state is hereby empowered and directed to distribute the bound volumes and current pocket parts of the compiled statutes of Idaho to members of any legislature, when called for by proper action taken by either house, or by joint action of both; such copies shall be free from any mark or marks indicating that they are the property of the state and shall become the property of the member to whom delivered. Not more than one (1) set of bound volumes of the compiled statutes shall ever be distributed at state expense to any member of the legislature. All costs incurred in providing bound volumes of the compiled statutes to members of the legislature shall be a proper charge against the legislative fund, unless an appropriation for such purpose has been made. Sets of pocket parts shall be provided to currently serving members of the legislature, and such sets shall be provided from the sets made available by the provisions of section 73-212, Idaho Code.
