Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 3415/1

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Any person or State or local governmental agency owning a site of general historical interest or having the written consent of the owner of such a site may apply to the Department of Natural Resources to have that site listed and marked as a State historic site.
