  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Department has the power to cooperate with private organizations and agencies of the State of Illinois by providing areas and the use of staff personnel where feasible for the sale of publications on the natural and cultural heritage of the State and craft items made by Illinois craftsmen. The sales shall not conflict with existing concession agreements. The Department is authorized to negotiate with those organizations and agencies for a portion of the monies received from sales to be returned to the Department’s State Parks Fund for the furtherance of interpretive and restoration programs.
