Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 230 ILCS 10/7.8

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Home rule.The regulation and licensing of organization gaming licensees and gaming conducted pursuant to an organization gaming license are exclusive powers and functions of the State. A home rule unit may not regulate or license such gaming or organization gaming licensees. This Section is a denial and limitation of home rule powers and functions under subsection (h) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution.
