Before entering office, every assessor or supervisor of assessments shall take and subscribe to the following oath, which shall be filed in the office of the county clerk, except the oath of township or multi-township assessors and their deputies shall be filed with their respective town clerks. Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 35 ILCS 200/4-30

  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • oath: shall be deemed to include an affirmation, and the word "sworn" shall be construed to include the word "affirmed. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.12
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
