- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
“Modification to the Federal-State Agreement” means an amendment to the Federal-State Agreement to extend coverage to coverage groups or additional employee classifications consistent with the provisions of Section 218 of the Social Security Act and this Article.
