Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 410 ILCS 68/40

  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Violation of Section 20 or Section 25 of this Act is declared a public nuisance inimical to the public health and welfare. The Attorney General or the State‘s Attorney of the county in which the violation occurs may, in addition to other remedies provided in this Act, bring action for injunction to restrain the violation.
