Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 50 ILCS 741/15

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     When a referendum is submitted under this Act for approval or rejection by the electors, the time and manner of conducting a referendum, including petition signature requirements, shall be in accordance with the general election law of the State. The creation of any Regional Fire Protection Agency by referendum shall be secured by an intergovernmental agreement that includes terms that meet the standards set forth in Section 25 of this Act.
