Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 60 ILCS 1/35-40

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The electors may convey any land or any interest in land held by the township to the county or State where the conveyance is made for highway purposes. The conveyance shall be made in the same manner and form as a conveyance of land made at the annual township meeting.
