Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 620 ILCS 5/20

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     “Municipality” means any county, city, village, or town of this State and any other political subdivision, public corporation, authority, or district in this State, or any combination of two or more of the same, which is or may be authorized by law to acquire, establish, construct, maintain, improve, and operate airports and other air navigation facilities.
