There is hereby created a political subdivision, body politic and municipal corporation by the name and style of Springfield Metropolitan Exposition and Auditorium Authority in the metropolitan area.
The principal office of the Authority shall be in the City of Springfield.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
