  • Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
  • Board: means the governing and administrative body of the West Frankfort Civic Center Authority. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 200/275-5
     Within 60 days after July 2, 1987 (the effective date of Article I of Public Act 85-14), the Mayor of the City of West Frankfort, with the advice and consent of the West Frankfort City Council, shall appoint 3 members of the Board for initial terms expiring June 1, 1988; 2 members for initial terms expiring June 1, 1989; and 2 members for initial terms expiring June 1, 1990. The successors of the initial members shall be appointed in like manner for 3 year terms from the date of appointment, except in case of an appointment to fill a vacancy.
