Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 745 ILCS 60/1

  • Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
  • United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     For the purposes of this Act “real estate investment trust” means an unincorporated trust or association which complies or intends to comply with Sections 856, 857 and 858 of the Federal Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, or such section or sections of any subsequent Internal Revenue Code as may be applicable to organizations described in Public Law 86-779, enacted by the Congress of the United States.
