Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 815 ILCS 5/2.36

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
     “Registered Internet portal” means an Internet portal maintained by a corporation or other legal entity that is being used to offer or sell securities and that meets the requirements of Section 8d of this Act.
