Sec. 3. (a) An assessment not paid in full shall be paid in annual installments over the time commensurate with the term of the bond issue or other financing determined by resolution adopted by the board. Interest shall be charged on the unpaid balance at the same rate per
year as the interest charged on delinquent
property tax payments under
IC 6-1.1-37-9(b). All payments of installments, interest, and penalties shall be entered on the assessment roll in the office of the district.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 14-33-10-3
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(b) Upon payment in full of the assessment, including interest and penalties, the board shall have the lien released and satisfied on the records in the office of the recorder of the county in which the real property assessed is located.
(c) The procedure for collecting assessments for maintenance and operation is the same as for the original assessment, except that the assessments may not be paid in installments.
