Sec. 226. “Public waters”, for purposes of IC 14-15, means every lake, river, stream, canal, ditch, and body of water that is:
(2) owned or controlled by a public utility.
(1) subject to the jurisdiction of the state; or

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
