Sec. 10. (a) An applicant for registration as a pharmacist intern must furnish proof satisfactory to the board that the applicant:

(1) is actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy accredited by the American Council for Pharmacy Education;

  • Board: means the Indiana board of pharmacy. See Indiana Code 25-26-13-2
  • Pharmacist: means a person licensed under this chapter. See Indiana Code 25-26-13-2
  • Pharmacy: means any facility, department, or other place where prescriptions are filled or compounded and are sold, dispensed, offered, or displayed for sale and which has as its principal purpose the dispensing of drug and health supplies intended for the general health, welfare, and safety of the public, without placing any other activity on a more important level than the practice of pharmacy. See Indiana Code 25-26-13-2
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(2) has obtained the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee Certificate; or

(3) is a qualified applicant awaiting the examination for licensure as a pharmacist.

     (b) A registration issued under subsection (a) is valid for one (1) year and may be renewed by the board in accordance with subsection (c) until the expiration date established by the Indiana professional licensing agency under IC 25-1-5-4.

     (c) An application for registration or renewal must be accompanied by the appropriate fee and one (1) of the following:

(1) Proof of having obtained the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee Certificate.

(2) Proof of active enrollment in a school of pharmacy accredited by the American Council for Pharmacy Education.
